MOMI MOMI!

A nice song to get y’all started here, courtesy of Japan, producing 78% of the world’s weird shit since 1952.
(笑) I love Japan so much. ^_^
Anyways, moving on.
I’m over a month late, but I’m still amazed by TCM’s Summer Under the Stars posters for this year. These posters are some of the best graphic work I’ve ever seen. Even the ones that I don’t really care for — Beat the Devil, The Conversation, and The Magnificent Seven, methinks — are well done. I know I cannot make anything like them. Personal picks below the cut.

Not totally happy with the turnout of this one. Not happy at all with the turnout of this one. The only thing I like is the colors. >_<
But I wanted to do something vector pop art, and I wanted to do something with my latest ship – Jimmy and Ginger! Aren’t they just adorable? Here’s a pic…

Oh the little cutie pies! I wuf my widdle snookie wookums! Who’s the cutest, sweetest, fluffiest (lolwut?) couple? Jimmy and Ginger are, my widdle pumpkin pies! Yesh, the best actor and actress of 1940 are the cutest!
:3
*ahem*
But you’ve got to love her face in that second pic.
Yes.

I have to see “Vivacious Lady.” Soon!

Waterloo Bridge for the win.
Originally, I was going to do something like the last entry – something with a pencil drawing. But it would be boring to do the same thing twice in a row, so I experimented with unique textures until this resulted. :)

…is what that character to the left of Mr. Akanishi says.
The picture used here is, in my humble opinion, the most attractive of July 2007’s Popeye feature on Jin. He’s not drinking, he’s not smoking, and his hair looks normal. :D
I do not know what to call this.

I was inspired by a header on some website to make this. It had a very similar grey background, brushes on top of the background, and two pictures as the focus – one of which was framed. Now, my… random thing, for lack of better terms, is not as good as the header on the website. But hey, I’m just starting to use multiple pictures for one image. ;) It’s fun, actually. And some of those textures I never thought I’d use are beginning to come in useful. :P

The pictures used here come from one of my favorite photo shoots of Maki’s, and my second-favorite photobook of hers. The title of this post means “hue” or “tint.”
I got the colors by using the color mixer. I hardly ever used the color mixer. No, wait – I don’t remember using the color mixer before now. but after making these, I think I’ll try it out more often.
On with the graphics…

*Ohnoez, it’s smaller in width than usual! :O
I love frames in pictures. Any pictures. They’re fine around the picture, but what about in the picture? It creates an interesting effect. When I saw that texture, it was a must-use. (Credit here.) I put it on the first image I figured would work. Add in some paint splatters, and voila, this happens.
